The 105th Anniversary was one of the biggest parties I have ever been too. I have never seen so many bikes in one location. The H.O.G. event in Miller Park was unbelievable. Four large parking lots full of nothing but bikes. There were folks from every part of the world. I talked to a very interesting guy from England that is going to email me some of the pictures of his pictures from the ZZ Top concert. I enjoyed talking to other H.O.G. members and finding out where they are from and what they ride. If you did not make it to Milwaukee, mark your calendar now for the 110th in 2013.

I am so proud of our Chapter for getting involved in all of these activities. I talk to other groups that have a chapter and meetings but nothing really going on. I look at our chapter and one thing comes to mind- variety. I truly believe that our chapter offers a lot of different types of rides. I know that we can even create more rides that will be fun for all and new for the chapter.

Next year is our year to shine and show off our city to the Iowa State Rally. To prepare for the 2009 Rally, we'll be having a practice Game Day next spring. This would be a day for our members to get together for lunch "practice" some of the games that are played at the State Rally. I know that most of our members have not been to a State Rally so this is great opportunity to see what's in store for us next summer! We'll plan for the practice day in May or early June of 2009..
